Sheet Pan Secrets:

Sheet pan meals are a great way to stay on track with healthy eating when you are short on time and energy. They also tend to be perfect for meal-prep since they lend themselves to batch cooking. So what is the secret to creating a good sheet pan? The key is picking a combination of ingredients that have the same cook times and complimentary flavors (of course). Since carrots can take longer to cook than other veggies, using baby carrots, or chopped carrots in this recipe is best. You don’t want mushy broccoli, so keep those florets on the larger side and they’ll cook nicely alongside the carrots.

Recipe for 6 Ingredient Sheet Pan Dinner

Ingredients

  • 4 Organic Chicken Italian Sausages,
  • 4 Cups Chopped Broccoli,
  • 1 16 Oz Bag Baby Rainbow Carrots,
  • 2 Shallots, or a handful of chopped onion,
  • Garlic Powder to taste,
  • A splash of Avocado Oil (for high heat cooking).

Instructions

Serves 2- 4. Preheat oven to 425°F. Prep ingredients & combine them in a large mixing bowl. Toss with the oil & garlic powder. Transfer to a large baking sheet & bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, “stirring” half-way through cook time. Serve immediately, or save for meal-prep & packable lunches. I topped mine with hot sauce, but it would also be yummy with pesto, balsamic vinaigrette, or a creamy avocado dressing.
